Say hello to super speed!
We have great news! The Snappy Team has brought a new feature that is now available on our Snappy CMS sites. This new feature improves performance - specifically, to make sites 30% faster, on average. This feature is already live and activated.
Why is speed so important? Simply put, speed is important because it’s expected.
In a February update, Google reiterated the importance of speed and provided context and framework for improving the architecture of websites to perform faster.
Google has previously demonstrated the positive effects of speedy websites by pointing to a couple of eye-popping studies:
Loading time is a major factor in page abandonment and loyalty; 53% of users report that they abandon sites that take more than three seconds to load.
Users visit more often, stay longer, search more, and buy more frequently on sites that load quickly than on slower ones; one company found that a conversion increase of 7% resulted from a speed improvement of as little as .85 seconds.
